Matthew Jones

Matthew JonesI was born and raised up in The Lake District in England, a fantastic area for trad climbing and poor weather! My wife and I lived in Sheffield for a couple of years in 1998-99 before moving to Arendal.

I have climbed for 17 years now and I enjoy all aspects of climbing, bouldering, sport and trad.

I/we have travelled and climbed in USA, France, Spain, Italy and obviously extensively in England/Wales and Norway. My favourite areas are The Lakes (when it isn't raining!), Font, Tromsø, Andalucía and I am constantly pleasantly surprised at the quality of the rock that keeps appearing and being developed here in Southern Norway!

All credit to Børre for his hard work and vision here on the sports climbing front. The bouldering is also a hidden pearl that is waiting for some strong visitors!

I have screwed routes and arranged competitions on a local level here in Arendal.

Michael CorriganMICHAEL CORRIGAN

Michael moved to Spain over a decade ago to escape the rain and clouds of the UK. Following a short stint as an Engineer, he set up shop as a freelance web designer.

He now spends his days looking for inventive ways to stop his ever increasing waistline from inadvertently pressing the spacebar as yet another slice of jamon iberico finds its way into his mouth, washed down by an ice-cold tinto de verano to take the edge off the sun.

Could rock-climbing hold the answer?
